Data Sharing Policy

1. Our Commitment

Autmic does not sell user data to third parties. Ever.

We collect data only to operate the marketplace and facilitate legitimate industrial transactions. This policy explains precisely what data is shared, with whom, and under what circumstances.

2. Data Shared Between Platform Participants

2.1 Buyer-to-Vendor

When a buyer submits an RFQ or contact enquiry, the following is shared with the relevant vendor:

• Buyer's name and company name
• Email address and phone number
• RFQ details (product requirement, quantity, budget range, delivery location)

This data sharing is necessary to fulfil the core purpose of the marketplace. By submitting an enquiry, buyers consent to their contact details being shared with the relevant vendor.

2.2 Vendor-to-Buyer (Public)

Vendor listings and profile information (company name, description, location, ratings) are publicly visible to all platform users and search engines.

2.3 Reviews

Reviews submitted by buyers are publicly visible. The reviewer's company name and city are displayed. Personal email and phone are never shown publicly.

3. Data Shared with Service Providers

Autmic uses the following categories of service providers who may process user data on our behalf:

• Cloud hosting (e.g., AWS, GCP): Hosts platform databases and application servers. Data is stored within India where possible.
• Payment processor (Razorpay): Processes subscription payments. Receives name, email, and payment details required for transaction processing.
• Email delivery (e.g., SendGrid, SES): Sends transactional emails (enquiry alerts, account notifications). Receives email addresses and message content.
• Analytics (anonymised): Aggregated, non-identifiable usage data to improve platform performance. No personal identifiers are transmitted.

All service providers are bound by data processing agreements and may not use data for any purpose other than providing services to Autmic.

4. Data We Do NOT Share

• We do not sell user data to advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies.
• We do not share data with competitors or other marketplaces.
• We do not provide buyer contact details to vendors for enquiries the buyer did not initiate.
• We do not use user data to train or sell AI models to third parties.

5. Legal Disclosures

We may disclose personal data if required to do so by law, court order, or lawful request from a government authority in India. We will notify affected users where legally permitted.

6. IoT and Machine Data

If you use the Autmic Factory Monitor / IoT add-on, machine telemetry data (sensor readings, uptime metrics, energy data) is processed to provide monitoring and analytics services. This data is not shared with any party other than the factory owner and, where applicable, Autmic's cloud analytics infrastructure. It is never shared with competing vendors or third parties.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Shared data is retained only as long as the underlying relationship exists. If a vendor account is deleted, associated buyer contact data provided through enquiries is removed from vendor-accessible views within 30 days.

8. Your Controls

• Buyers can request their contact details not be shared in future enquiries by emailing support@autmic.com.
• Vendors can request their publicly visible profile data be updated or removed upon account termination.
